1. How do I hire from East Kent Hire?

If you haven’t hired from us before, don’t worry we’ll make you feel extremely welcome, and you’ll be joining hundreds of businesses and DIYers who use our company and the wide range of tools and equipment that we provide, thus enabling them to get the job done, quickly, efficiently and on time!

There are a few formalities to complete the first time you hire from us. We’ll need a deposit and proof of identity/residence. The deposit is payable by debit/credit card or cash. Two forms of identification are required and when you contact the Hire Desk they will be happy to explain what you need to bring along.

2. Do I have to pay a deposit?

If you don’t have credit facilities with us, we’ll ask you for a deposit. Usually a minimum of £50.00. The procedure is very simple in that we’ll preferably “swipe” your debit or credit card for the deposit and then refund the deposit back onto your card at the conclusion of the hire.

3. What can I hire?

Virtually everything for the building industry - from Scaffold Boards to Diggers and everything in between. We currently have a large fleet of tools and equipment available for hire, which we are continually adding to. Look at our online hire catalogue or alternatively you can contact the Hire Desk for more information.

4. Do you deliver to my house or site?

Yes. We have vehicles operating within a 25 mile radius of Broadstairs. We aim to meet our target of same day delivery on standard stock items, but we would appreciate as much notice as possible. Due to the high operating costs involved in running our vehicles, we do unfortunately have to make a small charge for delivery. Please contact the Hire Desk for a quote.

5. Why do I need to hire when I have all my own equipment?

Occasionally your own equipment is going to need servicing, repairing or even replacing and maybe we can help with servicing/repairs and a short term hire whilst your equipment is out of action? We have a well equipped workshop with trained fitters and would be pleased to give you an estimate for repair. We also offer a calibration service as well.

6. Why should I use East Kent Hire?

We know there is a lot of competition for everybody’s business. We also know that some companies will promise everything under the sun and more. We won’t. We will only promise what we can deliver, a good service at a fair price.

7. How do I apply for a Credit Account?

Easily! Just print off the online credit application form, fill it in together with your bank details and return to us. We normally try to agree your application within 24 hours. Every month we will send you a statement and invoices listing all of your transactions for that month.

8. Are your prices competitive?

We know that price is important, and we carefully monitor our pricing to ensure that we maintain a competitive advantage. We offer a high quality service, backed up by experienced, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Our equipment is modern, well maintained and works. So, don’t take our word for it. Try it!
